TRUST IS A PRODUCT FEATURE

The source should be closer than the claim.

Florida.how separates current fact, editorial judgment, and conceptual atmosphere. These standards govern the difference.

VERSION 0.1 · JUL 13, 2026

01

Current claims get dates

Events, agency rules, deadlines, prices, and safety guidance carry a review or verification date and link to the source that decides the claim.

02

Official sources lead

Government agencies, parks, organizers, tribal institutions, cultural institutions, and official destination organizations are preferred for factual and operational details.

03

Curation is explained

Featured places are selected for a balance of demand, resident importance, history, culture, geography, distinct experience, and useful content depth, not population alone.

04

Price language stays exact

We label an event free only when the source supports that claim. Otherwise we state the known price or tell readers to check the official listing.

05

Imagery is honest

The homepage causeway visual is conceptual atmospheric imagery, not documentary photography of a named location. Factual visuals should be labeled and sourced.

06

Communities are not props

We name the people, histories, and living institutions behind a place. Indigenous, Black, immigrant, working-waterfront, service-worker, and environmental realities belong in the main story.

07

Useful limits are visible

We do not pretend to provide live availability, legal advice, insurance advice, emergency alerts, or exhaustive event coverage when the product does not.

08

Corrections stay traceable

Material errors are corrected against a primary source and the review date is updated. Public correction channels will be named before launch.
